That Niko who is living in Japan is seeing something weird about the moon.

Text - What does the text tell us?  Summarise

Ani and Niko known each other since they were in kindergarten, their families lived next to each other and they use to stay at each others houses. When they were growing up they use to camp outside on the deck. Sometimes after school finishes they would always think that they might travel the world. One day Niko’s mum got offered a job in Japan so that meant Niko and Ani will not see each other again. But Ani and Niko will always talk to each other on gmail, Ani was waiting so long for Niko to send a message to him, but Niko finally sent a message about why is the moon upside down?. So Ani said” they will take some pictures of the moon so that they can discover why is Ani seeing the moon upside down. Suddenly their cameras didn’t have very good zooms. So they decided to draw pictures of the moon so they know what's the difference.. So Sam’s dad was a hunter so they wanted to use his binoculars. But the whole thing didn't work well so they waited for the new moon to start. After a few week they set each other their drawings and WOW! they are really good drawers. After comparing the drawing they found out why is the moon upside down?. Because Ani is living in the southern Hemisphere and Niko is living in the Northern Hemisphere. So Ani is seeing the top of the moon and Niko is seeing the bottom of the moon so that is why it was weird to him.

What do the diagrams tell us?

When you are in the northern hemisphere you see the top of the moon, but if you are in the southern hemisphere you see the bottom of the moon. So I think Niko was use to seeing the bottom of the moon so that is why he said it was weird.

Year's Reflection

This Year I’ve had some bad times earlier on the year but now I have thrown away my Bad luck out of me. I have got to say 2013 is one of the best year in school.Not only it was the best year I’ve had I also learnt new things from my teacher.

Math and writing are my FAVOURITE subjects. At the beginning of the year I concentrated on my reading first then after approving reading I decided also to be better at my Math and writing.

My Highlight this year is going to tech because we do all sorts of stuff there like cooking, graphics and Hard Material. And my favourite one is all of them because they are fun.

Next year I am going to be a year 8 and it is going to be my last year at pt England School and last year of spending time with my friends.,I have had a amazing time at Pt England School and I don’t want to leave Pt England School.

P.E.S for Life.

Meeting Will.I.Am :)

On Thursday a  famous pop singer Will.I.Am visited our school. Why? To Give us $100,000 towards developing science,I.C.T and other school subject. The whole school never knew that Will.I.Am was coming because Mr Burt never told us. Finally It was time to see the Star of the day, Walking with Will.I.Am is the prefects and his 4 security guards.

When Will.I.Am sat down, Vivienne one of our school prefect started of the prayer in Tongan then Patrick finished it off in Maori.  When the Kapa Haka group came on they did their performance that they did on Fia fia. After they Finished it was the Senior Hip Hop group.

Then Will.I.Am came up to speak to us about his life.  Will.I.Am Was very poor, His Mother did not have a job,she was single and she spent all of her time looking after her sons and daughters .  He was born and raised in Housing projects. When Will.I.Am Gave us the $100,000 he said” This money is to provide this school with science, Engineering and Mathematics”. And he also said: Music helps me take care of his Mum”.

After his speech Mr Sneedon told us" That Will.I.Am never did a hongi, so he did the hongi with Mr Sneddon.

After everything we've been through with Will.i.am, it was time for us and him to go. I really wanted to stay longer but we couldn't. But the thing really I wanted him to do was to sing one of his album.

The day when Barbie came alive

On Christmas I had the best present ever and it was a Barbie Doll that my dad got for me!!!. Later that night I went to the market with my mum to buy lamb chops for dinner and pancakes with berries for tomorrows breakfast. While I was at the Markets I saw a wishing well. I asked my mum if could have one dollar and go to the wishing well and she said, "Yeah go for it!”

When I went to the wishing well there were lots of people there. Three minutes later I finally got to get my wish. My wish is, if Barbie could come alive by tomorrow evening. Then my mum said, "What did you wish for?” I replied, "I wished that Barbie would come alive.” Then My mum started laughing. When we arrived home everyone was already at the table getting ready to eat. After we ate we went back to sleep.

The next morning we had Pancakes with berries. After we ate breakfast we went outside to play go home, stay home. After we played I just remembered my wish of Barbie coming alive. So then I quickly ran to my room to see if Barbie had come alive when I said, "Please wake up!" Suddenly she woke up!

When Barbie came alive I was so scared so then I touched her hair then she said, "Hi.” I got frightened and I screaming as loud as I can. Then I threw her out of the window and said, ”Bye bye.” Then I told my Mum & Dad that Barbie came alive. Then they looked at each other and started laughing. Then I showed my mum that barbie was real then I showed her and said, "What shall I do?” She whispered, "Maybe we should put her in a garage sale!" I agreed and said, "Lets do the garage sale tomorrow!"

The Next day I woke up and my mum had already some people buying our stuff. A little girl called Martha brought Barbie for 5 dollars.
