Reflection

 As you are evaluating each of these categories think about which elements were the strongest in the movie - (made it the most effective). What were the main things that detracted (made it less effective)

Evaluate.

1. Planning/Reflection

How well did you plan your movie? Our plan was alright because all of our animation and filming was not shown. Did you storyboard it well with enough detail to follow it? Our storyboard was good but we just didn’t use it.

Did you reflect throughout the process and make changes to improve it along the way? We tried to make our animations and filming improve but we couldn’t.

2. Message

Think about what the message was/should have been. Our message was about the Blacks and whites to come in equa. What was your purpose? The purpose was to make it better. How did you try and convey it? we tried to strive in our drawing so we just used pics How well do you think you achieved this purpose? I think we did our best even though we didn't do it well

3. Filming techniques

Do the scenes progress logically? I am not sure Does the movie connect well from one scene to the next? Yes

8.  Key Competencies

How well did your group work together? Not bad Did everyone contribute effectively and do their share? I don’t know Were you able to work through disagreements when they arose or did they become an issue? No

Did you manage your time well? Sorta If not what do you need to do differently next time?Yes i’ll work harder next time.

My movie was alright but now I need to work harder every time I work on a movie because I was not happy of my movie because my voice over was no good and I have to get all my filming and Animations done. I also need to work on my timing to get my movie done.

Next time I work on a movie I have to get nit done and not get distracted. I also need to work on my drawing to make my animations better.

Martin Luther King

In the 1960’s America was hard for the blacks to live in because blacks and whites were not equal in many ways. Schools and restaurants and other public places were segregated,This means that blacks and whites always had to be separated. Unfortunately the whites and blacks were not equal. Also the blacks had to give up their seats to whites on the bus. Fifty long years ago Martin Luther King gave his powerful and inspiring speech “ I have a dream”. His dream was to change things so the blacks and whites could come together. He also wanted equality.

 

MLk was born on jan 15th 1929.He  studied law and then he followed in his father's footsteps of being a minister. He also had a passion standing up for black people’s rights. In his years he spent 11 days in jail for traffic and and taxing offenced.

His dream was to make whites and blacks could go school together and the whites and blacks could get along and were able to sit alongside one another on the bus.

MlK was in a book signing in Harlem when he suddenly got stabbed by a woman called Izola Curry on April 4th 1968.He didn’t die. At 6:01pm on Thursday, April 4, 1968 he got shot by a single bullet and went through his right cheek breaking his jaw and neck and several vertebrae. This resulted in his death.  

         

Serenity, Sislia and Laita LOVE Movie

Serenity & Laita & Sisilia were really good singers and I loved it how they started clicking to make it better. I really loved you song choice it is a really good song about love and good sound quality. But I was hoping for Sisilia to have a turn singing.

They shouldn't of have heaps of different shots to make it more interesting instead of one shot. Maybe you guys could could add an animation to make it better.

Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela

Both Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King had the same dream. There dream was to bring harmony for black and white people and racial equality. They both suffered for trying to carry out there dream and trying there best to make the world fair.

Nelson Mandela was born in July 18th 1918. Back in the days in South Africa the black people couldn’t vote and they suffered because the white people had all the power and money. He went to jail for 27 years for opposing the government by making things equal. After getting released he found out that black people can vote and then he became president of South Africa. One of his speech’s was “A LONG WALK TO FREEDOM.”

Martin Luther King was born in January 15 1929. He was a leader in the african civil rights movement. The white people didn’t like what Martin Luther King was doing and so the white people decided to find out a way to get him arrested. Martin Luther King wrote a book and he was signing it and apparently got stabbed. He got assassinated in 1968.

These two great men worked so hard just to make their country a better place.. Their dream officially came true in the end. So Martin Luther King once said “I HAD A DREAM”. So in 1968 in April 4 Martin Luther king has passed away and Nelson Mandela is still alive. He is now 95 years old.

Visiting Samoa

Visiting Samoa

Walking in the huge Plane called Virgin Samoa with my school bag to carry with us I was so EXCITED!!! because I will be seeing my cousins that I haven't seen in a long time.. Looking towards the other exit on the other side all you can see is layers of chaires. As soon as I sat down I thought I was sitting away from my Parents but I was sitting with them.

Before the plane was about to go in the air three ladies showed us where was the life jackets and how to use them they also told us to read the manual right in front of you. So I grabbed it and started reading it, After looking at it it was time to go to Samoa. We are going to Samoa because my Grandpa Lemafa Mamoe past away. On the plane heaps on members on my dad’s side came on the same plane as us, that was pretty cool.

When we were in the air looking down we can see heaps of houses and it was a beautiful view. when we heard” we are arriving to Samoa in 4 hours and 15 minutes ” the captain said. So I fell asleep while my parents were listening to music. A few hours later I was time to eat they gave us taco with ham,lettuce,cheese,and bacon YUMMY!!!.

When we arrived to Samoa I was happy because we had a safe flight from New Zealand to Samoa ccchhee hooo. Walking down the steps it was getting really hot  we arrived at 10.30 pm wow that was a long trip. After getting our bags checked I saw my auntie Vanila with her 2 kids Leauina and Taufau I also saw my 3 cousins Shireen,Eneli and Barcelona I was so happy to see them so Eneli gave me a big hug.

When we arrived at Sataoa my dad’s village I quickly opened the door and ran towards my cousin Kisa Mamoe. After that Me,Kisa,Jvette and Tianna were playing Samoan knucklebone Ake.

After 2 days I was the service day for my Grandpa Lemafa Mamoe. We went on a Samoan bus to go to the Service and their we will see Grandpa. When I saw him I was crying when I touched my head it was cold and hard. After the Rev of the church done his speech it was time to go back to the church with Grandpa.

When we arrived in the church we were all crying while walking even the great Grandchildren as soon as we sat down it was hard to let it go. After that it was time to go back home to do the si’i with the ie Tonga which took hours. After everything was finished we finally got sleep.

On the next day it was the day when  Grandpa gets buried. He gets buried next to Grandma Taupo Mamoe. When we arrived at the church all the Sons and daughters did their speeches about Grandpa. After the whole thing finished it was time for him to get buried. I wish if I went but I was not allowed because it was raining.

Grandpa manuia lou malaga Hope you have a safe trip to Heaven and as always your heart will be in our hearts <3
